Special Edition Samantha’s Paddock Mélange Traditionnel – 2018

This seventh vintage of our flagship signature red blend epitomises our commitment to honour and reflect the finest examples of the classic Cabernet Sauvignon-based wines upon which our region’s enviable reputation was forged and cemented. The palate is powerful yet poised, with fine tannins and extraordinary length.

Why It’s Collectible

Through meticulous wine making and employing traditional Bordeaux varietal blending (Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Petit Verdot) paired with careful oak maturation and slow evolution in bottle. This internationally award-winning vintage manages a balance that few wines accomplish. The Real Review’s Stuart Knox stating that it sits in with the great cabernets of the world and awarded the wine 98 points.

Melissa’s Paddock Syrah – 2018

Wine Makers Notes

Melissa’s Paddock, our smallest block, is a tribute to the finest Hermitage examples of the Rhône Valley, bottled as “Syrah” to reflect its refined structure and savoury, spiced nuances. This flagship single-vineyard Syrah captures the unique character of its site, with the 2018 vintage benefiting from a calm, extended growing season typical of the Yarra Valley's hallmark conditions. Rated 97 by Wine Reviewer and 97 by The Real Reviewer.  

Why It’s Collectible

Rated 97 by both Winer Reviewer and The Real Review, this vintage was handcrafted from an assemblage of 13 distinct small batches, with a touch of whole-bunch fermentation and 16 months in French oak, this Syrah reflects both meticulous technique and expressive terroir.

Suggested Cellaring Window

10+ years – this is a collectible vintage designed to evolve gracefully over more than a decade. Approaching its prime now, this Syrah can be enjoyed and savoured within a shorter time frame.


 

Estate Pinot Noir – 2021

Wine Makers Notes

From the exemplary 2021 Yarra Valley vintage, which was characterised by minimal crops and tiny berries with abundant tannin, this is one of our most beguilingly complex and savoury projections of Pinot Noir. The palate backloads with an accumulation of fine-grained, seamlessly integrated tannins married with a fine line of natural acidity and complexing stalk influence. The wine confidently pushes through the full length of the palate to a sweeping lingering finish.

Rated GOLD and 95 points by Halliday Wine Companion, this vintage is a standout in a stellar year. It captures the essence of cool-climate Pinot with structure to reward cellaring.

Estate Mélange Traditionnel Blanc - 2020

Winemakers Notes

This wine draws its inspiration from the time-honoured Bordelaise tradition of blending multiple compatible and complimentary companion grape varieties to construct a wine greater and more profound than the singular expression of its individual parts: A complex and aromatic wine that is crafted for ageing.

Why It’s Collectible

Awarded GOLD at the 2025 London Wine Competition, this long textured and weighted with pithy and saline fine lines wine will do nothing far from bolster any collector’s cellar. Flavours of gremolata, gold kiwi fruit and ginger snap make this the perfect pairing for any celebratory meal.

And just like that – the 2024 vintage season has been a memorable and truly extraordinary harvest period. Our wettest December/January growing period on record was followed by the driest February/March on record, bringing on our earliest harvest start since 2016 and the most consistently intense and relentless harvest period that the winemaking team can recall in its 27 Yarra Valley vintages.
