The Art of Terroir brings together two expressions of place, craftsmanship and heritage in an intimate collaboration between Levantine Hill and Aromatic Private Tea Club.

Designed exclusively for a small group of private clients, this unique afternoon experience explores the parallels between ultra-premium Yarra Valley wine and some of China’s most sought-after teas — from vineyard and tea garden provenance through to climate, craftsmanship, ageing and the influence of terroir.

Guests will be guided through a curated tasting of five Levantine Hill wines, each thoughtfully paired with a premium Chinese tea selected by Aromatic Private Tea Club. The experience will include a guided Chinese tea ceremony, Levantine Hill wine masterclass, matched food and an interactive discussion exploring the similarities and contrasts between these two ancient crafts.

The wine selection will include the 2020 Katherine’s Paddock Chardonnay, 2022 Optume Chardonnay, 2023 Estate Pinot Noir, and the highly anticipated 2019 Melissa’s Paddock Syrah and 2019 Samantha’s Paddock Mélange Traditionnel.

Each will be paired with rare teas sourced from some of China’s most prestigious growing regions, including high-altitude and limited-allocation selections rarely experienced outside private tea circles.

With only 8–10 guests, The Art of Terroir has been designed as an intimate and highly personalised experience, allowing for deeper conversation around provenance, winemaking, tea production and the shared pursuit of excellence.
