- ezard @ Levantine Hill scores two major gongs in its first year
After just one year of operation, ezard @ Levantine Hill has grabbed a chef’s hat and the prestigious People’s Choice Award in Australia’s most important annual food awards – The Age Guide Food Guide Awards.
The Good Food Guide lauded ezard @ Levantine Hill as part of an increasing trend for fine dining in regional areas: “ They come by helicopter and they come by car to this Fender Katsalidis designed dining room among the vines.’’
ezard @ Levantine Hill opened in August 2015 and is a new gastronomic partnership between celebrated chef Teage Ezard and Levantine Hill Estate. It forms the centerpiece of an ongoing $100 million major tourism development in the Yarra Valley by Levantine Hill.
Levantine Hill has lured famed chef Teage Ezard to take his award-winning skills outside the city limits for the first time to offer visitors to the region the perfect dining experience.
The philosophy behind ezard @ Levantine Hill is our highly acclaimed hand-crafted wine is king, and the culinary experience - whether it be in our Signature Restaurant or our All Day Dining space - is designed around the palate of our wines.
Head Chef Aaron Duffy and Venue Manager, Matthew Haines ensure diners enjoy an unmatched experience in the region. TripAdvisor rates ezard @ Levantine Hill as the number one restaurant in the Yarra Valley.
“We are proud of our staff and these accolades are in short measure due to their hard work and commitment during our very intense establishment phase. Our commitment to our valued customers is to continue improving our service offering year after year,’’ said Samantha Jreissati, Managing Director of Levantine Hill Estate.
“It was particularly pleasing to receive the People’s Choice Award – for the general public to so quickly embrace our vision at ezard @ Levantine Hill is very humbling,’’ she said.
“We also believe these awards are great for the whole of the Yarra Valley. Our aim from day one was to create a new culinary destination for the Yarra Valley so that the whole region benefits from the thousands of new customers we are attracting every month. We feel blessed to be part of the beautiful Yarra Valley,’’ Ms Jreissati said.
Teage Ezard said: “Given the chance to create something special in the Yarra Valley was fantastic. This recognition is a great way to finish off our first year of operation”.
